Filing Police Complaints
Against Railway Police Officers in BC

 

Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway have private police services that maintain security on railway property. Unlike other private security companies, railway police officers receive police training and are granted authority under the Railway Safety Act to carry firearms. The Railway Safety Act requires that CNR and CPR maintain a complaint process for their police forces. Both departments accept complaints about the conduct of their officers and the content of their policy.
