Avigail Eisenberg is a Faculty Member in the Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria where she teaches Canadian politics and democratic theory. She is an active member in the Canadian and American political science communities and has published several articles and a book on diversity and minority rights.

Following the completion of her doctorate at Queen's University in 1991, she taught in the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia. In 1999, she moved to Victoria where she now lives with her husband and son.
